About Abseil Access

Abseil Access consists of a group of dedicated Rope Access specialists. Although we are a Sydney, NSW based company we have previously undertaken short term jobs as far away as Darwin, NT. Abseil Access is a small company owned and operated by two individuals:

Ivan is an IRATA 3, IRATA Trainer, Qualified Mechanic, Welder, Professional Outdoor Recreation Guide/Instructor.

Ivan comes from a Mechanical Trades background, and has been a qualified climbing instructor since 1998. He was led into rope access through a passion for the outdoors and vertical rope work.

Outside of Abseil Access, Ivan works part time for TAFE NSW, teaching roping within the Outdoor Recreation department. He also regularly instructs on height safety training courses which include tower climbing, rope access and crane rescue courses. Ivan is one of only a few qualified IRATA Trainers in Australia.

He enjoys spending his time with his young family and introducing his kids to the wonders of the Australian Bush

Matthew is an IRATA 3, Advanced Rigging, Confined Space trained, Sayfa installer, Certificate IV Outdoor Recreation.

Matthew has 7 years experience in the rope access industry working mostly in the signage area.

Outside of work hours, Matthew spends majority of his time in the Blue Mountains where he regularly challenges himself to various rock climbs. Matthew is also well travelled having practiced his climbing skills in locations such as Patagonia, South America.

As owner/operators, both Matthew and Ivan work hard to achieve 100% satisfaction from their clients, and as a result, demand quality workmanship from all their technicians.

The carefully selected experienced technicians at Abseil Access come from various skilled backgrounds and are safety focused with excellent work ethics.
